I already have the plane tickets Marseille (yes, by the way, I'm French!)- Stunsted but I'm still trying to find a hotel or a B&B. We can't spend a fortune on it, not more than 50£ a night. Any good plan, any good adress.
Last question, is there a bus or a train from the airport to the city centre?
Thanks for your help!

HI to everyone.I am from Greece and I am visiting a Friend in Bristol the last week of November. On my way to Bristol I will stop for 3 days in London. That will be my first time in London.
So I whould like to know which are the things I shoulded miss.I am Planning on Visiting the Tate modern, the national gallery, the national history museum ,the British museum(for the marbels) and the London eye.The rest of my time I am thinging of walking through the city from Hyde Park to Tower Bridge(Albert hall and memorial,Bakinham palace,Soho, big ben,Oxford street,st Paul church, london tower, city hall).
I would like to ask you if all of these worth speding time on(I have only 3 days) and if you suggest something else?I would also like you to suggest any nice Pubs in the city centre.
I have allready checked any website and cityguides for London and I would like the opinion of people who live the city everyday(they know better).
Thank you in advance.I am looking forward for your answers.

I was on a train from King's Cross to Peterborough. The place was crammed to the gills as usual, and there were 2 complete carriages full of pre-booked seats with their slips sticking up, mostly empty. The First Class carriages were pretty much empty. When the ticket inspector came round he chucked a load of people out of 1st Class because they refused (or couldn't afford) to pay the extra £60 he was asking for the upgrade (no wonder they're always empty! Talk about us and them!), he didn't seem too worried about the people sitting in the reserved seats, but then when he got to me, he booted me out of the seat I was in because I hadn't paid the full price for my ticket! There were people standing all over the place and luckily for me, I didn't have long to wait before I was getting off.
Has anyone else had an embarrassing experience like that?

Im moving to Somerset Kentucky in August. What is it like there? Is the area generally friendly towards everyone, especially minorities? Is the area generally safe? Is there anything to do worth seeing (besides the Lake Cumberland.) Are the schools good?

Thanks for any information!

thetrainline.com has columns which are blocked out. I understand these are more likely to be available early on in the booking stage. Has anyone found that even in the later stages, cheaper options are available at the station rather than on the net.
