Central florida here....it's like any other place except the weather is nicer all year around....Alligators in every pond....people are mostly snow-birds in the winter, and really nice people in the summer months....ton's of traffic everywhere.....Dont come to Polk county, it's the lowest paying per job county in the U.S....have a bunch of tourist attractions...beautiful beaches, mud ugly women, handsome men(as I), you'll like it.....good luck...

There some fun things to do and Florida probably has pretty good schools. Colleges not bad. It fun to wake up and see an Alligator in the backyard, but, kinda sad when the dog not around anymore.

Humid, full of bugs, hot in the summer, pretty neat wildlife, great fishing, great boating, very flat and green (well except for beaches), lots of tourist attractions, lots of tourists, lots of southern pride (nothing to be proud of), big 4x4 trucks, cool in the winter, when it rains it REALLY pours down, palm trees in your back yard, fast growing grass because of all of the wetness- if you're one of the lucky ones that have REAL grass, the public schools leave much to be desired, the a/c is almost a necessity if you want cool, crisp, dry air, poorly paying jobs, relatively cheap housing and I love it here!

the schools are not great, we have some of the worst schools in the country, just so you're aware of that. the outdoor beauty is great, there are snakes, gators, mosquitos, sharks and hurricanes to be dealt with, but every place has something bad. the pay sucks though.
