I am currently residing in Germany. I work in an orphanage in VietNam, Kontum (Vinh Son 1 and 2). I know that to adopt to Italy, USA and France is common enough. A few years back VietNam changed certain political policies that accidentally made it illegal to adopt a child into Germany. There has been talk about this avenue re-opening. Are there any sites or people I can talk to (English) that may help me find out if it is now possible?

The adoption is not for me, I am Australian. It is for a German couple who help me and others to financially support the orphanage.

I will have a month. Not looking to spend the world, but equally I need a good time too.

I'd also like to know about any common courtesies, practices, tipping in bars, where to buy some warm clothes (I'm in tokyo ya see), and where best to get a club with some decent progressive house music and get my thang on!

Thanks in advance people...

I'm here in Jozie. Well actually, I'm working in Westbury and living in Roodeport. I'm looking a new place to live and friends.

1. Where (in which area) can I find a nice place to stay for around 2000R/month including electricity and water? The place should be about a taxi ride away from Westbury and in walking distance from a grocery store (like Checkers or Spar), a take-away restaurant or two (and mall?).

2. I only have Saturday afternoons to Monday mornings free. Where can I go to meet people (in their twenties) during that time?

3. If you're in or from the area, send me an e-mail (diggs2002@yahoo.com), I have tons of questions esp. about public transportation.
