Dear people of Scotland, I visited your beautiful capital Edinburgh, and what should I say? I fell in love with Edinburgh, Scotland and the Scottish people. That wasn´t my last trip to beautiful Scotland! I´ll come back, I promise! I bought a patch with the following slogan: Up yer Kilt! (just because I like it!) but I don´t know exactly the meaning of this slogan. Can you please explain it to me in "pure English".

Im going to apply for a Schengen Visa this month. My main destination and the first point of entry is France. What are main points that i need to keep in mind when applying for this visa. I have a annual travel insurance
policy, so i know this will help my application. what are the other things that u might think will be important to my application.

In the application form it ask for how many days that you required the visa.can i put like 300 days ?

Me and a friend are organising a camping trip in India, we thought it may be cheaper if we took our own camping stuff and just camp really.
We chose India because i know the language (well the essentail words!) and the diversity and beauty of the country.

It actually happened 3 years ago while I was in Cancun and traveling by myself. I was 30 at the time and was just going through alot and wanted to vacation to get my mind off of things and kind of "relive" my college years! I have a bf who didn't go because of work so I decided to go myself. I met alot of college kids and hung out with them . Anyways, we all went out together to some clubs and I got very wasted. We got separated so I was walking back to our resort bus when a group of young Mexican guys started harassing me and making me very uncomfortable. I was really too drunk to defend myself and a policeman noticed. He offered me a ride back to my hotel and I accepted. On the way, he pulled off on a sideroad and told me to get out of the car and raped me. I never told my bf. It's been bothering me lately and I don't want it to happen to anyone else. I didn't report it there because I was too scared. I know it was stupid to get that drunk and not stay with a group. HELP

What is Turkish public opinion on joing the EU???




I am not asking about the rights and wrongs of Turkey being admited into the EU..Personally I think Turkey should be admitted to the EU and think it would be a big lose if they don't join..


But I have heard despite the Turkish government wanting to join the EU. Most ordinary Turks are now against entry when a few years ago most wanted to join it..

Why the change of opinion? Is it because of the chavanistic attitude of some EU countries..Or the length that Turkey has had to wait to join..

Wouldn't the freedom of movement and boom in trade (from membership) be a good thing for Turkey?
