Ever since seeing the notebook, I fell in love with South Carolina. I have researched and Edisto Island seems to attract my attention. If anyone could tell me about it there, that would be great! Thanks!

Hello. I am a 17 year old female student from New Zealand. I am pondering about going on a high school student exchange to Italy next August.

I want to go on an exchange because it will give a more global perspective of life. It will also teach me about independence ect..
I believe you can go on a holiday anytime but going on an exchange will enable me to live as a local and see all the things tourists miss. I will get the chance to immerse myself in the Italian culture as I become part of a family and school. I look forward to helping out my host family and spending time with them as we get to know each others cultures. I think walking in someone elses shoes makes you more compassionate and understanding.

I cannot decide whether to go on a 6 month exchange or a year exchange. I know I would miss my family and friends but going to Italy would be the experience of a lifetime.

For those of you who have been to Italy what do you reccomend?

Thank-you for your help!

If a cruise ship leaving from Los Angeles and going to Ensenada, Mexico has a woman who gives birth, what will be the nationality of the baby? Will it matter where it is born ? So it could be born in the following locations:
1. In dock at port of Los Angeles
2. At sea in US waters
3. At sea in international waters
4. At sea in Mexican waters
5. At dock in Ensendada, Mexico

The ship is registered in Panama. So i dont know if that matters.
We plan to take a cruise in December and wanted to know this.
Would the baby have the same nationality of the parents ? We are Indian citizens working in the US.

I am wanting to visit Canada sometime next year, possibly for a week during spring break. However, I may end up moving there instead of simply visiting. I was told that depending on the length of my visit, I don't need a passport. How does that work and how do I go about getting a passport?

I will be flying to Europe (flying into Frankfurt, Germany) on December 6 and will be returning home to California on December 15. What is the best way to dress to keep warm and dry? (I am female by the way.) I will be taking the train into Austria, Italy, and Switzerland also. Do you recommend several layers, or just a warm coat? Also, should I expect snow in early December or just rain? Thanks in advance for any input. It will be my first trip to mainland Europe.
