Like Paris Hilton wrote, but don't forget to visit St. Anne's Church, where the crypt is totally lined with human bones arranged in tasteful patterns, and go down to the 2000 year old Roman city by elevator, that's definitely worth while, guided tours are available in English too, also you can take a boat/ship trip down the Rhine, and come back by train, or the other way. Go to one of the towns downriver to taste the wine, possibly in a vinegrower's cellar if your stay is long enough.
Have fun!

The "koelner dom" is probably the most well known sight there. There's a funpark in Bruehl, which is right next to Cologe, it's called "Phantasialand". Haven't been there for a while, but they have some new stuff.
And u definitely gotta go to the chocolate museum in Cologne!!!
Have a great trip! :o)

appropriate guess - spend 5 days in Paris and a million.5 days in Cologne. the only component to repute for Cologne is the Cathedral or Koelner Dom. of course there are the classic Museums and such, yet Cologne, for me a minimum of, grew to become into tremendously dull and grimy (for a German city). yet there are numerous solid theaters in/around Cologne with somewhat solid exhibits, yet not precisely vacationer stuff. have exciting the two way.

July? Watch out for the Gay Pride Parade ("CSD"), I think it's in July. Great fun and parties in the streets all the way. City gets very crowded, several hundred thousands of visitors including elder people, families and some very freaky people.
