No, none whatsoever. If you take them on the ferry they should stay in your vehicle (in theory). Welcome over here!

I don't think so, I lived in N. Ireland which is part of the UK and my friend took her dog so S. Ireland and no questions asked.

im pretty sure there isnt.. gong on the ferry recently people were taking them in cages and keeping them below deck,
