I was thinking of taking the train (or some other means if you have a better idea) to one of the following towns, having lunch & getting a river cruise back to Cologne on a KD cruise (the roundtrips & special itineraries aren't avail on my dates) Which of the following towns would you suggest we eat in & start the cruise from? I want kids to have a great fun time but at the same time wife and I want to relax. So we need fun activities for our daughters and the luxury of a top hotel/resort for us where we can be spoilt too. We do not want to leave kids with anyone but always care for them ourselves. Would prefer France or Italy as its close to home in London. Children keen to go to Euro Disney for few days and we keen to be in hotel/resort close to the beach for rest of time where we can be pampered too. I have been working hard over last year and have had some back troubles so I would like to recharge and do some exercise so I can be ready for the balance of year but at same time be with wife and kids. Would appreciate ideas.

I'm not rich or famous, so the luxury areas are out. I just want to move there for the people, weather, culture and food. Finding a small job would also be helpful. I understand there are several expat communities there, but am finding it hard to find specific information. Any suggestions?

Just wondering if anyone has noticed this billboard along the Federal Highway, K.L. (just outside Angkasapuri) which has a happy newly-wed couple by the name of, "Janan & Zoe" with the groom's message of thanks.
Reportedly the groom spent a ridiculous sum of money to get his "message" across to his bride. The question here is... do you feel that the money was well-worth spent/ were the couple seeking attention?
And not too long ago, a florist received a giant heart shaped out of 999 roses from her beau on Valentine's! (if I'm not mistaken)
Are these "gestures" of romance overrated/ romantic/ a waste of money/ time?
