I want kids to have a great fun time but at the same time wife and I want to relax. So we need fun activities for our daughters and the luxury of a top hotel/resort for us where we can be spoilt too. We do not want to leave kids with anyone but always care for them ourselves. Would prefer France or Italy as its close to home in London. Children keen to go to Euro Disney for few days and we keen to be in hotel/resort close to the beach for rest of time where we can be pampered too. I have been working hard over last year and have had some back troubles so I would like to recharge and do some exercise so I can be ready for the balance of year but at same time be with wife and kids. Would appreciate ideas.

Paris is a good idea, it is fun, but there is sooo much to se, that you will have a lot of walking to do, it is not a relaxing holiday at all.
If you are looking to relax more, try the French Riviera. It is breathtaking, you can go around to see Cannes, Nice, St Tropez, and Monte Carlo is a must if you are there. I rented a car when I went there, but they have buses going a few times a day between cities. The beaches are amazing, water crystal clean, service top of the line, just perfect. In Monaco we were amazed to see employees on jetskies with two vacuum cleaners attached to them cleaning the waters near the beaches. You can look it up on the net for deals, hotels, there are everything from budget to luxury.
