Does anyone know or have an idea of how many transfers...?

a person would have to take to get fr California to Manitoba, Canada ? I know that he's gonna have to transfer once he gets to Winnipeg cuz there's a small plane that comes out my way & it's a 3 hr drive (40 min flight) to get here. Manitoba is in central Canada, right above ND. Can someone help me out ? My online friend told me that he's saved up $700. We might get to meet this YR !!! If not this yr then maybe '07.
