I'm about to reserve a room at a Holiday Inn. One of the listed options for a room is Holidome. I have no idea what this means or what Holidome has to do with a room, and their website isn't any help.

I've done a bunch of online research already and am overwhelmed! If there's anyone out there who lives in the area, or has visited already, please help me out.
I'm planning to go for a week next year, but I'm not sure when's the best time to go. I've heard of "First Saturdays", are they every Saturday of every month, or just during certain times? That's just one example of what I'm asking...
I'd really like to explore all of what Savannah has to offer, so obviously, I'd rather not go during any known bad weather times.
Also, any tips on what to plan to do while I'm there, places to stay (I'd like something "Southern feeling" like a homey B&B or something), places to eat, etc. Anything you can offer that'd help would be greatly appreciated, so thanks in advance! :)
P.S.-I realize this is in the Atlanta section, but there doesn't seem to be a Georgia or Savannah category here.

My husband and I found a good rate for a package to go to vegas at the end of july for 3 nights. hotel, flight, and car for around $350 per person (staying at the flamingo). But something came up and we were thinking about changing it to next march for our anniversary.. but it is like $200 more expensive. it is like $500 per person to go at that time? Why is that????

All other states have some notable feature.
Either by association, like N. Dakota, or even stereotypes like Arkansas and Wyoming. Even Kansas is at least in the middle of the country and thought of as completely flat.
I can't think of anything notable about Nebraska.

We're planning on moving to Grandblac, Michigan (but not necessarily Grandblanc) within a year. I would have to transfer from college, find a job and a good school for my son. I've never been to Michigan before so I have no idea what to expect besides the freezing winter. I live in Columbus, OH, which I like very much. I like to live where I know I can find almost anything; stores, schools, shopping centers, universities, entertainment, etc. But I don't like to live in the main city, may be 30 min away! I'd like to get some good and not so good point of views! please give me some info about a nice place in Michigan!!!

I know most of the touristy spots are closed off season, but are the towns around the Amalfi Coast mainly shut down, or do the local places (restaurants/shops/etc..) mainly stay open?

Can you take party poppers on an aeroplane? It's my sisters birthday while we are on holiday and I would like to take some party poppers and streamers but wasn't sure if I could take them or not. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Next summer I won't have a job because I will be on my college break. I thought it would be fun to work on a cruise ship for the 3 months I'm out. Anyone know anything about this?

Has anyone recently been through the San Antonio to California part of I10? If so, about how many checkpoints are there, how long does it take to get through them, do they have dogs on site, and how big of a hassle are the cops? We don't want to add a ton of time to our trip or have to deal with several police encounters (it might be best for our car not to be searched). Also if anyone knows a good path to get there through northern NM & Arizona, please let me know.

I want to take a European Cruise in May and I need to know if it is cheaper to find my own air fare including transportation to the pier or use the cruise lines. The departure port is Barcelona and the arriving port is Venice.
