Can you take party poppers on an aeroplane? It's my sisters birthday while we are on holiday and I would like to take some party poppers and streamers but wasn't sure if I could take them or not. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Your best bet is to call the airlines and ask! They are usually very helpful and can assist you with that info. I wouldnt rely on someone here who is not affiliated with the airlines they could say yes and then you could end up getting them confiscated at the airport. So, just call the airlines and ask they won't bite you LOL.....

Lets see ... Take an explosive onto an airplane.. I cant see what the problem is there.

DO you live in the real world. If you are not allowed to take a pair of nail scissors on a plane what makes you think party poppers are okay.

Can't you just wait until you reach your destination and go buy them there? They do contain explosives, so you're best not to try that unless you want to end up in front page headlines world wide. Or, if you know where you will be staying, forward them ahead of you by post, DHL, FED EX, UPS. Whatever, but do NOT bring those on a plane!!! OMG! I can imagine, like a hundred bomb sniffing dogs congregating around your baggage!!!

There are some that are the explosive type and some that are mechanical. Ask the airline if you can bring the mechanical kind. You twist the bottom and it pops up, releasing the contents. There is nothing that can cause a fire.

I dunno, but doubt it....just imagine you are mid flight and one or more of them pop due to pressure!!!! every single passenger including you would have a heart attack!!! much easier to buy them when you get there Id say
