STONEHENGE

A) is not in Ireland...
B) it is in England, southwest of London
C) It is considered a "sacred place"
and is used to celebrate the winter and summer Solstices
D) Presumably used by the druids in ancient times for this same purpose

The "deal" with stone hedge is that its actually STONE HENGE and the other deal is that it has nothing to do with us-its in ENGLAND. Its like asking the Chinese about something in India or asking an American why America is so famous for its mooses and why half of them talk French.

Actually, this is a very good question.

It's so talked about because it's so very old, that it predates almost all written history.

And yet, we are not certain who built it, or exactly how, or even why.

Everyone loves a mystery, and Stonehenge is one the greatest of all time.

In all probability Stonehenge was built in order to observe celestial bodies in relation to the rocks. It probably had some religious significance as well.

It was an ancient piece of art made by primitive people. It is thought to be a marvel because it was made by people who had little knowledge or brains.
