I have a standard Romanian WASR 10. I bought some polymer mags, supposedly high-quality, from AIM surplus. They won't even fit in the rifle! I was told by a customer service agent that some of the importers like Century have to cut-out a part of the magazine well for them to accept hi-cap mags, and many times it's barely enough for metal mags, but that polymer mags won't fit. He said that after a lot of use the well wears down enough to insert polymer mags.

I don't really understand this explanation. Aren't these firearms manufactured for hi-cap mags in the first place, so why would alterations be needed? If it is, why would polymer mags be bigger than metal? Is this explanation true, or were they just trying to get out of refunding my money? If it is true, is there anything a moderately-handy person can do to fix it without damaging my rifle, besides waiting until the thing is ground down enough by use?

Thanks for your help.

have you ever seen a coffee can full of gas get shot with a .223 tracer round. my brother found some tracer rounds for my AR-15. so we decided to shoot the can full of gan. it actually didnt do anything we were disappointed. so we decided to just burn it and then we used some of his gun powder from his reloading kit and filled the can up with that and used electrical tape on it to make it tighter. he shot it and the can blew there was nothing left of it. we also found a couple of pieces of the can in a close by tree and one went in the side of our house. he also got a piece of metal in his leg it wasnt very deep tho so we just taped it up and its all good. has any one ever tried this.

I've been looking for a cc pistol and I've really started liking the "PPK - look." Now I know that Bersa does a knock-off version, but who else makes pistols that have that James Bond feel?

I despise the law for having to be 21 to buy a handgun. If im old enough to vote I want to be old enough to legally purchase, own, and carry concealed, a handgun. Are there any bills, or any signs of any politician hoping to change this law? I think it is a rediculous law.

There wouldn't be so many people breaking gun control laws if these laws werent here to begin with, just thought id say that

I purchased a Model 710 .300 Win Mag, took it out one time and the damn magazine clip broke off. I noticed that the new 770 has a much better retaining clip to hold the magazine in. Does anyone know if it is interchangeable with a 710 or is Remington manufacturing a better replacement part for the 710?
While I'm at it, my 710's bolt action is very difficult to unlock (when I discharge a spent casing) and again to lock back in (to fire) - any remedies or ideas? I don't want to ground or file the wrong piece or at all if I can help it.
Thanks in advance!

The place that I hunt is on my aunt's cow farm, so there is plenty of food sources around for the deer.. Such as cor, and alfalfa. The actualy spot that I hunt is on the ground, just inside the woods next to a stream that devides the woods from a huge cornfield. There is several deer runs in front of me, which basically looks like a deer highway. I was out there the other night, and seen 2 deer walk right by me (which I actually shot at with my bow and missed), so there are deer that will come through, but would I have even more takers if I baited with some apples, or something that they are not able to find on the farm? Also, when I was out there, I did end up spooking a deer away that was staring at me from my blind. So basically, the deer saw my hiding spot/ground blind. Is that going to make them weary of my hunting spot now? I am not planning on hunting from there for a few days, but I am scared they will not walk by there anymore because I gave that spot away..
