I despise the law for having to be 21 to buy a handgun. If im old enough to vote I want to be old enough to legally purchase, own, and carry concealed, a handgun. Are there any bills, or any signs of any politician hoping to change this law? I think it is a rediculous law.

There wouldn't be so many people breaking gun control laws if these laws werent here to begin with, just thought id say that

you must be 21 to PURCHASE, but only 18 to POSSESS according to federal law. you may be given a handgun by a family member and still be in accordance to law.

you must be 21 to carry concealed and do not expect that to be lowered ever. i would not be surprised if someday that age limit is raised.

as a cch permit holder, i would not feel comfortable having anyone under 21 carrying concealed, even though i did it before the conceal law was passed in kansas and before i was 21. i had no business doing it and am very lucky nothing bad ever happened either!

I think gun laws should be less restrictive.

Look at Virginia Tech. A community without guns, just like some politicians are pushing for. If 1 in 10 people (or more) were allowed and trained in firearm saftey and use, there could have been many lives saved that day.

just my two cents on the issue.

You're preaching to the choir about gun laws, I'm afraid. If I knew how to make the stupid gun laws go away, I'd be on that as fast as I could. Some states do allow open carry, you'll have to check that out on your own.

As far as preventing violence caused by gun control, don't give politicians any reason to take your firearms, and vote for the ones that are pro-gunners.

In this day and age of ridiculous gun control laws I doubt that any politician would touch that subject with a 10 foot pole but you could start a grass roots campaign to try to get it changed

You must be the change you wish to see in the World.* Get busy and contact your local, state and Federal representatives and encourage other young people like yourself to stand up for what you believe in regards to changing these laws.* Begin a grassroots campaign to amend the laws that exclude you from handgun ownership & protection.* Remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease.* Begin today, organize with young people who see the need for changing the law or laws.*Remember nothing changes until you change.*
