Really can't go wrong with a Benelli or Browning shotgun. Browning is well known for there shotguns. Haven't shot one yet, but keep hearing how good they are. As for Benelli shotguns, I've shot my cousins Benelli Nova. That gun shoots pretty nice, not much recoil, even for a pump action. I wish I bought a Benelli Nova, instead of the Mossberg 500 that I no longer have. Traded the thing for a Remington 742 Woodmaster 30-06 rifle.

That really depends on what it's for. Busting clays, I'd say go Browning. For a gun your life might depend on, Benelli is a good choice, but some Berettas are the same at a fraction of the cost, such as the inertia driven Beretta 1201FP, virtually the same as the Benelli M1 Super 90. A used one can be had for around $500, they're really great autos for that price.

Both make great guns but I think the Benelli is a bit better. You'll probably get many people who will tell you that the Browning is the better gun. Really, you can't go wrong with either gun.

Benelli is the best shotgun in my mind on the market. Despite the 3 1/2 inch shell possibilities...its lighter than a browning....i bought a franchi....i use it for duck goose and turkey....benelli makes great all around guns...they just feel good when the shotgun is in the pocket of your shoulder...i didn't get that feeling with the browning golds....get the SBE 2
