ok. so i know that deer hunting season is coming, so therefore insurance companies are gearing up for insruance claims for deer/car accidents. so let's just say, if we can hunt them, which is better eradicating as much deer and leaving them for dead or the buzzards meals, or let them cause thousands of dollars for repairs? in my opinoin, i'd rather eradicate as much deer to resolve the accident issue. other opinions?

Is there an easier way to load a Marlin .30/30? I bought some snap caps for my Marlin and every time I load one into the magazine, it nips my thumb. It pinches it to the point where I get a bruise on my thumb and fingernail. One time it even took a part of the fingernail off. Is there any way to load it easier with out pinching my finger?

I have an 6.6lb Remington 870 with an 18 inch barrel and factory recoil pad. I have been shooting 6 1/2 shot 2 3/4" game load shot out of it. I was wondering if my shotgun firing 00 buck shot would kick more or less than a .30-06 rifle. The rifle being a Ruger M77 Sporter that weighs just at 6lbs 8 oz. and has a small recoil pad on it. The length of pull is just right for me as is the shotgun. Which will have more felt recoil?

And was just wondering what route I should go? Price isn't TOO big of a deal, but I don't want to spend some huge amount. I only deer hunt about 5-6 times a season due to work, but I want to get a better, more dependable gun.

Any Suggestions?

I have seen it at only one store and they said it was new, but when I go to compare prices at other gun stores they have never herd of the gun. If had to choose bettewn the Model 25 or the Model 29(I know the Model 25 is .45 and the Model 29 is a .44) or is there a similar gun made by a different manufacturer better?

For under two hundred dollars. If not a luger, then a modern day handgun for the same price. I have actually heard of this, but never knew where the firearm was eventually purchased.

I have read many things about accuracy and most (although NOT all) seem to favor bolt-actions. Is this a true picture?

Can semi-autos or even full autos have high-grade accuracy? What about lever actions?

What about so-called "sniper rifles" like the Soviet Dragunov and U.S. M-14 -- aren't they semi-autos? What about the new Barrett .50's -- some of them are semi-auto, and considered very accurate.

Is this common opinion just a prejudice?
