For under two hundred dollars. If not a luger, then a modern day handgun for the same price. I have actually heard of this, but never knew where the firearm was eventually purchased.

Great choice on an EXCELLENT weapon. . . . .
BUT. . . . .
You're not going to find even the worst mismatched parts junkers for TWICE your price tag!
With the market on these fine collectible pistols being what it is today, $500 is the absolute rock bottom you're looking at for ANY Luger.
Still, you can try:

. . . . or just run a web search for Luger pistols, as there are many collectors who specialize in this excellent pistol in all its' variations. . . . . .
Just not in your price range. In fact, you're not going to find much of ANY quality handguns for what you are willing to spend.
The P-08 Luger Parabellum is one of the FINEST auto-loading pistols ever designed! Contrary to other answers, the ONLY reason the NAZI's discontinued the P-08 and adopted the P-38 Walther is that the Luger was MUCH more labor-intensive and required much more hand-fitting of parts during production.
Even after the adoption of the P-38, many German officers who were issued pistols would carry their own personal Luger, instead of the mass produced Walther, even if they had to purchase them 'out-of-pocket'! Which was often more than $200 in Deutche marks even back THEN!

You will play heck finding a Luger for that price. You might find a Stoeger Luger in .22 LR but it is not a real Luger, it just looks like one. They are fun to shoot tho. And as far as any other gun for less than $200, well good luck. Prices of guns has been going up fast and don't look to ever fall.
I would try to find a Ruger Mk II, they are a real good pistol and last forever. I bought one in 1965 and still have it. I finally sent it back to Ruger to re-blue it and they replaced all the internal parts, returned my old parts and re-blued it for only $40 I was flabbergasted. It still shoots just fine.

? Is this a joke, originals are worth THOUSANDS of dollars even the fakes are generally over 200 dollars. If you want a gun that is less then 200 dolls look into the 7.62 russian surplus pistols, they are pretty cheap to shoot and pack a little more punch then a 22 pistol, I think I bought mine for 179.99 at Williams Gunsight
(right down the street from Magnaport.

Dream on bubba! You won't find one at that price unless it is hot enough to burn your hands.

In addition to the sites other folks have mentioned, try Thad Scott's Fine Guns: http://thadscott.com/ . He ocassionally has Lugers in stock.
