Sorry my brother but I can't answer your question as yes or no.
You see for me, hunting with a muzzleloader is something to be savoured. Much like a fine wine or a good cigar. I have to be in the right mood to really enjoy it.
Having completed many succesful hunts, I don't find the need to make sure I have only the top of the line "stuff" in order to achieve what I am looking for. I have no sense of urgency for the killing part, so many times I really enjoy using the more primitive weapons.
I am starting to find it is maturity that leads you to like muzzleloading or bowhunting.
I will never use a muzzloader when hunting pigs though.
I know that is not some fancy schmancy answer, just simply my 2 pennies.
Happy Hunting

flint lock got to respect a man that loves a challenge as far as what kind or brand i could not say the challenge will be to find one they are not in high demand in these parts and would probably have to be ordered now my self I have a 32 cal. kentucky squerrel rifle that has been in the family for many a generation and i still take it out two or three times a year to blow the dust out so to speek so they last a long time but it does need cleaning and its a must to make sure its dry when stored. cabelas is a good resorce for your persuit of a flint lock just keep in mind that unlike precussion cap muzzle loaders you have to keep your powder dry so you will be limitted in your hunting conditions and a nother tip that still gets the better of me there is a time laps in the shot of a flint lock from the spark of the flint the flash in the pan to the ignition in the barrel it takes some getting use to but good look

i quit using modern guns for hunting in 1998 in favor of my custom made pennsylvania rifle.lord knows it's not that i'm a high end gun snob but rather that my friend greg builds one hell of nice rifle.he builds guns that look feel and work like a rifle straight out of the 1770's with that goes the quality that was commonplace at that time.it truly is the most comfortable gun i have ever carried and shot.it is a .45 cal rifle with a 42" swamped barrel.i have found that i just don't have a need for any other gun.i can use it for everything that i hunt for quite effectively with the exception of waterfowl.

I'm strictly a bowhunter, and always have been since I was a young boy.
During gun season, if I go out, I use a pistol or a muzzleloader only because of pride. For me, a scoped shotgun, or rifle would be like a turkey shoot because I'm am too used to harder kinds of hunting.

YES if I had one I would hunt with it & still hunt with a regular rifle also.** Why? Because I never used one before, & just for the experience.**
