On Monday October 29 all over the local news we saw that a local hunter caught on his trail camera what looks to be a bigfoot type creature. It has been declared that it is not a hoax but the question is bigfoot or bear. Many people agree that it looks nothing like a bear but the PA Game Commission swears it is a bear that is mangy. I'll let you decide

I'm on the side of it being a Bigfoot...I'm a taxidermist and them legs just look to long.

This link will show pictures of what came off the camera

I clean and lubricate it regularly. Also, how many rounds can I put through a Glock 17 pistol before parts will wear out, etc? I enjoy shooting my guns regularly but I am also concerned if I shoot them too much I am "aging" them faster. Any opinions on this? I clean and lube both guns pretty frequently.

Which gun/caliber would be more effective against a whitetail at, say, 100-200 (250 yrds max)... A Thompson Center (Encore or Contender [PISTOL VERSION]) with a 15" barrel chamber for .308. OR a Ruger M77 Compact with a 16" barrel chambered for .243 Winchester?

On opening day, I'm going to be walking around in a very thick brushy area. I've never used a shotgun hunting before, and want to know what is the best thing to use: rifled slugs, or 3" 00 buckshot?

I want to start to get into reloading, but I don't have much money to invest right now. I'm wondering if Lee is a good enough brand, since I can afford their reloading kits. Or do you know a better brand for the same general price? Any info would be great. Thanks.

Could someone please give me a primer on the differences between shotguns and rifles?

Also, which brand and model would be good for a beginner? I am simply interested in a home self-defense weapon for both short and long-range distances, not hunting. Thanks.

My husband wants to go deer hunting when the season begins. This would be his first time hunting. We don't know what rifle to get. Is 30-30 a good choice? Or any other rifles that would be best for deer hunting?
