I can't decide between purchasing a Glock 23 vs 30. This is my first handgun and ideally I should try them out but practically this won't be possible due to time constraints on my purchase permit and state laws.

I realize that placement is everything and plan on practicing at least once a week. That said, which would you recommend? **I want what will serve me best for self-defense** and will not be able to afford another gun for many years, however I don't mind paying a bit more for the cost of .40 ammo.

Also, I'm a guitar player and don't want to ruin my wrists shooting, if this would even be an issue. If it is not I'm slightly leaning toward the .45, but would appreciate some input.

Thanks.

This was manufactured in the Conn. Plant, and it has "Pantented Aug 5. 1984. Nov 6. 88. March 5. 95." on the top of the barrel...Has checkered plastic grip With COLT on the top along with the horse insignia imbedded in steel...

It has the numbers 305 on the cyl release...
The serial numbers on the but of the handel say "216" above "210"
Which means that the serial number is "216210"
Problem is I have no idea what model this gun is...Would like somebody to tell me model along with approximate value...Thanks

I don't know if I can buy a shotgun barrell that has threads inside so that i can add a choke or what. I really don't know that much about shotguns since this is my first. I am wondering how i can upgrade it to a choke barrell instead of just a plain jane barrell, so that I can add a turkey choke or full, or whatever choke i want on it. again my semi auto remington 20 guage model 1100 has no choke on it. How do i upgrade?

I won the gun at an NRA banquet and I recently took it hunting for the first time. I shot a squirrel only there wasn't much left of it. The caliber is too small for deer and apparently too fast for squirrel, so what is it good for?

I already own a Ruger 10/22 and I'm honestly bored with it.

I'm looking for a rifle in a caliber that has some knock down power to it. Something that will destroy things like jugs filled with water and old fruit.

I don't plan on doing any hunting, and I'm not expecting to be shooting further than 50 yards.
