You can either buy another barrel that's threaded for a choke, or if your current barrel is a cylinder bore, you can have a competent gunsmith install a choke. Basically what he'll do is cut away a little of the inside of the barrel, thread it, and ensure that a choke threads in.

A lot will depend on how old the shotgun is. Firearms companies change things thru-out the years and sometimes barrels will fit new shotguns but not some of the older shotguns. There are businesses that specialize in barrels for shotguns and also those that sell new barrels to upgrade existing guns. The Shotgun News has listing of those companies and you can Google a search and find more by just typing in "shotgun barrels" Also check with your local gunsmiths and gun stores to see if one of them has a used barrel that would fit your criteria. Remington shotguns are very popular and there has been a million of them made. I have three of them myself. A 12 ga, a 16 ga and a 20 ga. I love mine. You made a good choice when you bought that shotgun. Good luck and good hunting.

All you need to do is purchase an 1100 replacement barrel that has the Rem-Choke system. It will come with (3) different choke tubes, and a choke tube wrench that you can switch any time you wish to. Switch the barrels and you are set........Simple
The 1100 Barrels are available DIRECT thru Remington.com and come in several barrel lengths (WITH Rem Choke (3) screw in chokes, and guaranteed to fit your shotgun *As a Gunsmith, I can tell you it will be more cost effective to buy a new barrel (With 3 Choke Tubes & Wrench) than to have a single choke installed on your old 1100 barrel.

Take it to a competent Gunsmith and have him install a Poly-Choke on the end of the barrel.* You can adjust the choke and go from improved cylinder to Modified to Full Choke with a twist of your wrist. Least Expensive & convenient.*...

Check the information stamped on the barrel to determine the shell length and how it is choked. You may only have to buy ammunition to suit your purpose.

I have one of those, too, and all you can do is buy a new barrel. Check Cabela's, or maybe Bass Pro.
