Depends what it is. A Hi-Point carbine or an AR conversion to 9x19mm would be legal, as well as a 9.3x74R rifle would be completely legal, so long as you go through the correct channels to get them. Purchasing handguns seems to be perfectly legal, as well. Any legal caliber. However, carrying them concealed does require a permit.
