Firearms for Sears & Roebuck were produced by several different manufactures around the turn of the century, Marlin, Stevens, and Savage all produced rifles for Sears& Roebuck,J.C. Penny and Montgomery Wards at one time or another...

You best bet is to check with a company called Numrich Gun Parts Corporation in West Hurley, New York. They stock thousands of parts for antique and discontinued rifles, shotguns and pistols. They are the largest such parts distriubtor in the U.S. They also have a cross reference chart that will allow you to determine if your rifle was made by a specific company and then reference the part numbers. If these people don't have it, chances are they don't exist any more....Check them out....

Go to the two links I'm providing.

You will see that the model numberSears 43 is a Marlin 81.

Look to see if your rifle matches the Marlin 81.

Here's the parts for the Marlin 81......NOTE that there were more than one style of bolt, which is a problem if you don't know which one you have.

Also, paying more than $50 for a bolt for a gun that may only be worth around that may not be a wise investment....unless of course it's a family heirloom.

You may also do some searches on the gun auction sites and see if someone has one, but this is going to be finding a needle in a haystack.

Good luck.

Actually I ran into the same trouble with a sears model 25 semi-auto 22 rifle. I found out that mine was made by High Standard. Mine is pretty much identical to the High Standard A101, and parts will interchange.

I found a cross reference but there isn't a 103.19971. Is there any chance you are misreading it and that it might be "103.19771". If so, the 103.19771 is a Marlin Model 101.
