It shouldn't be that hard to do. Look for the three screws on the bottom of the rifle; The first two will be on the trigger guard and then other in front of the magazine plate. Remove these and you can lift the receiver and barrel straight up out of the rifle. Remove the bolt by lifting the handle and pulling it to the the rear, and pushing a little button - usually on the bottom right in front of the trigger. Clean the barrel as usual with a brush or mop. Use an old toothbrush, Q-tips, etc. to clean inside the receiver. I prefer to use RemOil to clean most of the rifle and a good bore solvent for the inside of the barrel. The rifle goes back together the same way it came apart. Most high end rifle makers recommend the screws be torqued to 30 lbs torque (I think, I could be wrong). Torqueing the screws to that many pounds each time ensures the rifle will have the same pressure points and therefore shoot the same each time. If you have a synthetic stock, don't worry about it, but if its wood - clean it with some furniture polish (seriously, it works fine).

What I do to clean all my rifles is to use the OTIS cleaning system. You can find them at your local outdoor store. They are not too expensive if you buy them by individual caliber. But, you're best bet is the complete system which runs anywhere from $45 to $60. This kit has every common caliber covered. They clean the barrel the best out of any other method I've used, and accuracy was increased in some of my rifles. Here's a website with more information:

Hope this helps!

It's really pretty simple but if you need some instruction, go to the Remington web site and request an owner's manual for your rifle.
