It would be a good chance of getting veggies to join and own guns since it is their right to do so...

what do you think?

As an NRA member I do not see the purpose of such a day. I do not, however, see why vegetarians could not be part of the NRA. The organization is about more than hunting, its about protecting our second amendment rights as well.

Though some may not agree, I think that vegetarians are not entirely against hunting, as hunting is an essential part of properly implemented conservation programs. Hunters and Vegetarians alike should be against poaching, nothing more.

Exactly what vegatables are you refering to?

In light of the Watermelon's undeniable contributions to the shooting sports as a target, and the Pumpkin's natural suitability as a cannon projectile, perhaps there may be merit to this idea. The lowly potato already has it's own firearm...
...the "spud gun".

The "Veggie Tales" veggies are all staunch, hardline conservative Republicans, proud members of the religious right, and NRA life-member gun owners already.
The live in Branson Missouri for heavens sake.
- They're "good-'ol-boy....vegatable-somethings..."...

Some quadraplegics do own guns, and are NRA members, although sadly and unfortunately they are unable to use their guns themselves any longer. They can however offer these guns to their children and grandchildren as part of their legacy, and in doing so, do their part to keep gun ownership in America alive for the next generation....
...and it's not nice to refer to quadraplegics as vegatables. They're people like everyone else.

If you are talking about sponsoring a "vegatarian night" to attempt to recruit new NRA members from the Vegatarian/Vegan ranks, Hey - Why not. The NRA can use all the recruits you can manage. The shooting sports are here for all Americans....And there are plenty of shooting sports that have nothing to do with hunting. The NRA is not a hunting organization anyway, -it's a gun rights lobby.

The NRA does love their veggies - all different kinds of 'em.

This is true! Do you propose to arm all veggies or just a select few? Which do you think the Constitution covers? You realize that not all vegitables are capable of handling the heavy responsibility of being armed. I'm not sure but I think a rudabaga is one of the more intellegent vegetables and probably has about the same IQ as you but do you think it is capable of passing any written test? I'm also curious as to what part of their anatomy they will use to pull the trigger in the event they are unmercifully attacked by a wild eyed Vegan. I hope you don't suggest that they use their root to pull the trigger. That just wouldn't be right. It could get them arrested for indecent exposure.

Why? It's almost like the saying of a scorpion & a frog. Such a thing invites contraphorcy. I think the fact that hunting is 1 of the reasons to have a gun. The NRA & vegetarians wouldn't have anything to say to another.

There may be several NRA member who are vegetarian.
But serving as a recipe source (or any other kind of information) for things not obtained by hunting is not the purpose of NRA.

Vegans can join the NRA, and shoot targets all day. Vegans are welcome in the NRA. I think for the NRA to spend even a second focusing on Vegan issues is focus drift, though.

But most NRA members are hunters. Inviting vegetarians in would kind of like being a cat and invite the sparrow in for a nice chat.

See, this is my point people. This is what happens when someone has lack of protein to the brain. Protein, the stuff you find in delicious red meat.
Now back to your question.... Do you really believe in what you are asking? Because that really makes no sense.

Eating preference has no bearing on not being able to join.

What do I think???? I think that your question was about the stupidest question I've ever heard. Get over it. Face the facts. Man was made to hunt and eat meat. And why is it that the "forbidden food" in the Christian religion is an apple and not deer loin????
LMAO!!!!!

I think the NRA has much more important things than this, e.g. defeating Billary Clinton who was the gunowners' worst nightmare 1993-2000, so we cannot afford another reign of terror from it in the future.
