I'm going camping... and I have no choice but to take some very valuable equipment with me. If something should happen to that equipment (it gets stolen) will my renter's/homeowner's insurance cover it?

Also do you think it would be safer for this equipment to stay in the tent with me at night? or to be locked in the car? (it does not have an alarm) - I am staying at a state park, in a designated tent-camping area.

I pulled old camo tape off a shotgun. It probably had been on for twenty years. On the wood, the adhesive was gummy, and cleaned off with kerosene. On the metal, though, the adhesive is hardened and it looks like I will have to scrub it off somehow. I'm currently thinking of kerosene and 0000 steel wool. Any other recommendations?

I've recently been visiting Alien Rock 2 in Edinburgh. It's an indoor climbing wall. Each wall has various routes and a small notice at the bottom with the grade (ie. difficulty). I get that the higher the number the harder the climb, but each route had a section marked "feet". In this section there was one of the following abbreviations: H, F, SS

I assume F stands for features, H for holds but i don't get what SS could be. Also does H mean i can only use the holds of the relevant colour? Or does it mean ANY hold?

I really should've just asked but i've only recently started climbing and i felt a bit stupid! lol

Advice or tips on backpacking in bear country. I know a lot is common sense, hanging food and stuff. I've only seen a bear once, a cub a couple hundred yards down a trail near the US/Canada border. I'll be in Wyoming this time. Thanks.

It has to be over and under. The shotgun will mainly be used for hunting but sometimes I do like to mess around with clay targets just for fun.

I like the 12G BC Miruku so far!! I didnt like the Pointer that much and cant afford a Beretta Shotgun!

What do you suggest?

It is a .22 caliber rimfire rifle, that was discontinued in 1933. My grandpa gave it to me right before he died, and I'd just like to know the value of it, so I can tell my kids someday. Any help would be great.

I am looking to get an M1 Garand for the history, plinking targets, and because I like guns.

I found this M1 for $750. Is it a good deal or should I hold out for something a little cheaper and / or a little better?
Sellers description below:

"Springfield, early 43 dated receiver, with a
50 date replacement barrel. If I remember right, it guages a 2 on throat, and a 1 on muzzle. It is basically a Service Grade rifle. I bought it at the CMP South Store. I have changed both handguards to walnut."

I am looking for the safest 9mm - this will be a self-defense weapon and I am hoping to get something small/sleek so it is out of the way. I've heard Glocks can have safety issues - I want something that wont easily go off if its dropped / jiggled.
