You can afford to shoot alot more with the .22 lr irregardless of model you choose. Shooting more means better accuracy and more fun. Last I checked, it cost about 7 bucks for 50 rounds of 22 mag. For 10-12 bucks you can get 500 .22 lr.

I agree though that a Ruger convertible six would take care of both worlds nicely unless you are not fond of single-actions.

Depends on where you live, if any other makers are allowed for sale. You can always go to your states DOJ web-site and view what is legal.

Why not just buy a Ruger Single-Six that comes with interchangeable barrels? Both 22lr and 22mag, no gun smithing needed, simply pull a pin and change. They are very good weapons.

initially, you're saying you will use a .22 HP in it, nicely, you will not use a prevalent .22 in a gun made for a .22 rim hearth magnum, they won't chamber. From there you may flow to any form of reliable magazine handguns, S&W, Ruger or the different of your determination, they're all exceedingly reliable. i might in spite of the incontrovertible fact that stick to a revolver for that cartridge. additionally they make some revolvers with cylinders for the two the magazine or prevalent .22, so in that appreciate you have a brilliant determination.
