I have been told the reason our quail population is so low is because the turkey population is so high and they destroy quail eggs and young quail. any proof one way or the other? thanks

I've been shootng my old recurve for three years off and on. Wondering if any specific things helped accuracy other than more practise, of course - gear and tecniques?
Is one recurve as good as the next?
And arrow types - carbon, wood, alluminum. Pros and cons for each?
And arrow weight,pros and cons?Thanks

I am in the market for an xd .45. I am sold on the pistol after shooting one, I would like to find some online retailers where I could puchase one. I had a local dealer quote for $545 plus tax, I feel like I can find one online for less including S&H and FFL fees.

How do I replace the grip that acts as the front of the reel seat (by screwing onto the seat after the reel is in place)? The plastic cracked due to too much tightening. I imagine that it could be done by removing the line guide(s) above it, sliding it off and replacing it. But replacing the line guides seems to be a tedious task.

I have heard that it is well known rule that the captain of a fishing charter gets to keep any "giant" fish like Tuna, etc. Is this true, and why is this allowed if you are the one paying for the boat charter?

When I was a little girl I can recall my father saying that certain animals could not be hunted depending on the first letter of that animal and the letters of the month in the year. Does anyone else recall similar information?
