In the opinion of experienced hunters, would an SKS in 7.62x39 be enough gun for a razorback hunt?

Does anyone have experience with either the 357/44 mag? I'm not familiar with Taurus' quality. People seem to consider it a poor man's S&W.

I am looking for an over under double gun in 20 gauge for my girlfriend to shoot skeet. I specifically don't want an auto gun though it may well be suitable, nor do I want anything with plastic furniture...so, first hand experience preferred, what's the best gun under $1000?

I live in southern california and would like to buy a kayak that i could use out on the pacific ocean but also in the local bays. Eventually after gaining enough stamina i'd like to paddle to Catalina (13 miles) with some friends. I was wondering what type of kayak is best suited for use in the ocean.

it freaked me out! i iced fished for the first time yesterday and even though i could see the ice was 6 inches, the sound that what i was told was the ice shifting and moving really got to me.it took me about an hour to get comfortable on the ice. i had to pretend, in my head, that it was whale song 'cuz thats what it sounded like.i cought a nice bass but it really got to me.how safe is safe ice,whats the recomended inches of ice to fish saftly?

I was wondering if the new Remington 17 Fireball was a good caliber for coyotes. I've been waiting and have enought money, so i am in the process of choosing a gun. I assume it is Centerfire, but if you know, let me know for sure. Will it do damage to the barrel since it such a high velocity? If you know about how much bullets are compared to like 22-250s could you let me know?

I'm a fan of hiking and camping, but my girlfriend is not. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good, easy, scenic 2 day loop trail. My hope is that we can start around 7 am, hike in, get to a good stopping point around 5 or 6pm, stay the night, leave at 7am the next day, and finish the loop by late afternoon.

I think this would be a good way to introduce her to overnight trails without her getting in over her head.

I live in Evansville, IN and was hoping for a trail within 150 miles of E-ville.

Why does an open face spinning reel in one of it's two modes (after the switch is flipped) not allow the line to be reeled in...only out? I can see not allowing the line to be let out, but to not allow it to be reeled in seems strange.
