When operating an assault rifle, and you shoot out every round it has, when you put another clip in, you have to slide that thing back for the bullet to enter the chamber. What is this action called?

owned any while I had children in the home. My question is: wouild I be better advised to purchase a revolver or a semi- automatic weapon. I understand that the revolver is more reliable and six bullets is adequate for protection but others differ. I would appreciate knowledgable advise about recommended : caliber, price, size and weight, make model etc.

I've met a cool guy, and we both talked about going canoeing on a date. Neither have us has ever been, and we thought it was a relatively easy task. I googled it and read horror stories.
