Bound's hubby here:

I have to agree with "H", the world's best pistol is the one you have in your hand when you need it most!

For me, that is a M1911A1 .45. I have two (at the moment), a Colt Mark IV Series 70 and a Springfield Armory Trophy Match. When I retire and relocate to a carry friendly state, I will have a Commander sized M1911A1 in either .45 ACP or .38 Super (or maybe even one of each!). The M1911 is reliable, and within its design mission, quite accurate!

Good luck!

Many years ago, the Lord God sent down to us his second true Prophet, John Moses Browning, that he might gain experience here before returning to on high to design the weapons to be wielded by the Heavenly Hosts in the final battles with Evil when the End of Days comes.

Though John Moses designed many great fine sidearms, his two most lasting and successful designs are the 1911 .45ACP Pistol and his last design before he ascended back to heaven, the Hi-Power 9MM. Any man should be proud to own and carry either of these fine firearms, and I can see no reason to own any other.

Worlds Best Pistol, that easy.
That the one you can shoot the most accurately with and feel like it apart of you.
You never have to hesitate, you just draw and fire accurately in a crisis or on the range.
The quality of the pistol must be of a standard that it never jams or malfunctions on the range or in a crises situation.
For me two pistols fill the bill for worlds best.
Ruger GP100 in 357 magnum.
Kimber Grand Raptor 45 ACP

But in all honesty there are a lot of potential worlds best, it just depends on what feels good and shoots good in your hands.

These are the two I bet my life on, and I would come out on top.

I have shot alot of pistols, and the only one i really liked and am looking to buy is a Smith adn Wesson .357 Revolver. It just seemed like a great shooter, and it fit me very well. Ive shot some other littel semi-autos, and it just feels liek im holding a watergun, and i dont like it.

Really, my favorite pistol (NOT revolver)? The Glock Model 20 .10mm w/high cap mags and night sights.

Your other question, What is the world's best pistol? That will be the one you have in your hand when you need it. LOL!

Best.

H&K or Heckler & Koch USP Series

I prefer the USP 40 which chambers the .40 S&W

The H&K P2000 would be my second choice. I would then turn to Kimber.
