I want to hear what everyone has to say about their favorite sabots in a Mossberg 500 slugster?

Yep, it's spring, and the gators are doing their things. If they're not pairing up and getting territorial where you're at now, they will be soon. My father's our local nuisance alligator trapper for the State, and I can tell you east central Florida is really waking up as far as the dinosaurs go

What does this mean to you? It means it's time to start watching your steps, alligators lazing in the sun after a cold front don't want to get back into the water, it's cold, and they're cold and they can't warm themselves up. They're sluggish, they're moody, and the males will be looking for girlfriends any time now. Just like the fish are looking for warm spots in the water, so are the gators, and trust me, they're in salt, too, and they'll look just like a barnacled log or something until you're right on top of them.

I went to the range today...Shot at a man sized silhoutte target and most of my shots were low...hitting the stomach\groin area rather than center mass. Then when I tried with a smaller circular target I fired 10 rounds and didnt hit the target once. What was I doing wrong? Maybe it has something to do with how I tend to hunch forward and slouch sometimes?

Why is it that every weekend since I got my new job it's either been too cold, windy, or rainy for me to take the kayak out to go fishing? The few exceptions to this have been when I had previous plans for other things. When am I going to be able to get back out there, this is driving me bonkers!!!!

It wouldn't be so bad if I knew the wind was going to keep coming out of the south like it is now, but we've got a front that's supposed to come through with winds from the north either late this afternoon or tonight sometime, and I don't want to be somewhere that's sheltered now that I'm not going to be able to paddle out of when this crap comes through....

We seem to be getting more than our fair share of offball questions posed by Anti-hunters. I for one consider them internet trolls and try to ignore them. Is there any good reason to answer them or does that just encourage them?

It seems that the 30.06 is indeed America's favorite caliber for hunting. I must admitt that its an excellent round that has stood the test of time. What I cant agree on is why anyone thinks that its a great gun for hunting the world. I have heard some say they would use a 30.06 for small game hunting all the way up to recently, the 30.06 will take elephant and even a T-Rex if ofcourse we could find one.

The .30-06 is not perfect. For specialized long-range work, the 7mm magnums are slightly better - and the .300 magnums significantly better. For me, the .30-06 makes a sensible minimum for elk, but I prefer cartridges on the order of .338 Winchester Magnum for such work. The .30-06 is not a dangerous-game cartridge. It is fine for leopard, and okay in a pinch on undisturbed lion, grizzly and brown bear - but it is not a charge-stopper. And it is certainly not suitable for buffalo, rhino or elephant, despite the fact that it has been used for such.

Do you agree ? Give your reason

I shot my WASR-10 for the second time yesterday and somethings not right. It chambered, and cycled every round just fine, The thing is it was kicking the hell out of me! The trigger was popping me in the finger so hard it hurt and the recoil was bad enough to split a sliver of the stock off up by the rear trunion. It also blew my adapter and birdcage halfway downrange near the end of the mag!
I know it wasn't this bad the first time I shot it, I'm serios it felt more like shooting my 91/30!
I did change a few things between the first time I shot and yesterday. They are as follows, I swaped out the Dragunov stock for a standard AK stock (You know, the wood one with the cleaning kit inside), I put a Yugo pistol grip on it, it didn't have a threaded barrel so I bought one of those AK/SKS threaded muzzle adapters off of Gunbroker.com (It attaches by four set screws), and then I stuck a nice birdcage flash hider on it! Can anybody tell me what caused my gun to behave so differentl
