There are a lot of factors that would determine the value of the rod such as what type it is, what is it made from, age, etc. I would try to get as much info on my own as possible before taking it to an "expert" to look at. The majority of the rods I build for personal use, I would never sell or put a dollar value on, they have too much sentimental value.

A value of a fishing rod is based on the blank inside the rod. Therefore, a SCII graphite rod is worth money, so is a E-glass or S-glass fishing rod. As far as the brand you mentioned, I never heard of it. It could be someone brought a blank, and custom made his own fishing rod. Nevertheless, you could sell it on craigslist sporting section, or you could bring it to a tackle shop.

Dig this answer!!
What type of rod is it?
What is it made of?
How old is it?
Who is Jack O'dette? (the builder right?)
Take it to a rod shop near you that sells rod building supplies. If they think it's old take it to an antique shop, or just call around, there's bound to be some one there who know's whos interested in old fishing gear.
