i want to know beacause i hunt turkeys and i call them with a turkeyy box

In the spring the turkeys are more responsive than in any time of the year. The spring is the mating season for them. When you are call with any call box, slate, or mouth call you are trying to get the male bird to come to you because he is looking for a little something something from the female bird. But in the fall the turkey in some areas will bread again and you will here them calling also but in the fall they do not call or are as vocal as they are in the spring.

Yes..and fall gobblers come out in the fall, they just dont gobble as much as the spring ones

no, they call them spring gobblers because they come out in the fall...duh....man, go buy a book about turkey hunting. go to www.rayeye.com

Gobblers come out whenever they want to. If they are henned up, they probably won't come to your call, but if they are looking for a mate, then they will come.

No they are still hibernating at that time of the year...............
