How do you think the Red Wings will do without their two leader(Stevie and Shanny). They also have a bad goalie and need another one.

i am upset to see them screwing up by signing these old a$$ fogeys. what about the young players they have? i think they are as bad as the leafs' management. i am curious to see what they do next. i thought they were going to go younger like some of the western teams. but it ain't gonna happen.

i heard about it on fox sports detroit tonight. that would be better than having ed belfour.

i am not happy that the wings want to sign belfour. i hope they sign some young players to offset this mistake they made. they need more youth and speed not slow and old players. mr illitch and ken holland need to think of how to make the team better not worse. i think they need to rebuild from the draft. they need to trade for some better playoff ready players who won't quit during the playoffs. are there any good free agents left?

Obviously there are exceptions, but this has been bugging me forever and I can't find the answer! A sub-question would be why are most defensemen's numbers in the single digits? Is this just "tradition"? Thanks!

Although I started life as a forward (LW) I play primarily D these days, mostly C or D division (I've been playing 4 or so years). I'm a decently fast skater -- short stature but muscular and very strong legs so I can get going when I need to -- but also like to grind a little, and tend to be one of the more physical players on my team. (How was that for diplomatic?)

I was told to skate with a 1/2" hollow after I broke my foot last year, while I was rehabbing and getting my edges and muscle tone back. I'm full strength now.

1/2" definitely doesn't have enough dig anymore.

So -- what hollow now?

As soon as guys hit junior hockey they no longer have to wear a full face shield. How come women that play pro hockey or international hockey (the olympics) can't go with out the full face sheild?

ken holland made a big mistake considering signing belfour. he ain't worth a crap. he's too old and not going to help the wings win. ozzie is slightly better. i think holland jumped the gun too fast with not giving legace another chance. he was not to blame for the loss. the whole team was at fault. everytime the wings fail, the fans run the goalie out of town like they run the quarterbacks out of town. i say neither. they need a better goalie.
