In the 15 or so years I have been a die hard fan, I cannot remember being this angry about the team and its future. I'm sad that we didn't offer manny the #1 spot that he deserves. I'm sad that we are going to sign belfour. I'm sad shanny and stevie left. I'm sad that we signed Osgood. Is there going to be anything positive happening this offseason?

He did NOT re-sign Manny (Very STUPID on his part), he let Shanahan get away, and he is acting all cocky and for what? We look so stupid in everyone else's eyes! Balfour stinks! What is Holland thinking????

Hey guys, I have a pretty long winded question.
Ever since I was in the 6th grade, I've wanted to play hockey.
My mother would not allow it, she's certain I'd lose all of my teeth and die in a skating accident.
Well, I now graduated from high school and am going to St. Cloud State University (big hockey school).
I still want to play ice hockey, I have always wanted to.
But, I know hockey is supposed to be started at a very young age.
I can ice skate, pretty well, but I have never played ice hockey (just field).
Do you think it's too late to start up, like I plan to (in a few months!)?

PS- When I have kids, they are most certainly going into hockey.

I've played coed since I started playing hockey four years ago. I learned to play at an early morning practice with a bunch of guys who were a billion times better than I was, and taught me everything I do right about the sport now, including how to be aggressive and how to be sportsmanlike -- two of the most important things I've carried with me since.

Someone told a girl who wants to learn hockey in her question below that she shouldn't compete with men in hockey. That she should stick to girls' leagues and playing with other women. This would also mean she's not allowed at stick time and pickup games. Right?

What do you all think? I've played coed until just recently, and never felt like I was at a disadvantage. I'm not big, but i'll grind and dig in and push and shove if I have to. I've been in the box for a fight or two.

Right? Wrong?

It never even occurred to me I shouldn't be on the ice with men, even when I'm the only girl there.

Your opinions?

See...my favorite sport is hockey and obviously I'm a girl and I don't know if I should play it or not. I don't want to be thought less of or made fun of just because I'm a girl playing a boys sport. I just want to know what you guys think.

Since the oilers lost a lot of the players they had when they were in the playoffs ex: pronger,laraque will they be good for next season or will they suffer the losses. will the oilers defence suffer or profit with the new players?
