Well look at it in two ways:
1. If the NHL is fixed, then this year the Canucks will face off against the Thrashers in the Cup finals, in which the Western Canadian team will lose against the Southern American market.
2. More than 20 years from now, as IMO there still not a good enough team.

I doubt they are going to win the cup this 365 days. they are taking section in dazzling hockey on the instant the playoffs is an finished new ball recreation. they can make some noise yet i don't believe of they are reliable adequate to bypass each and every of how. I see them going so a techniques because the convention very last yet no extra than that. in the journey that they could save this team extra or a lot less intact for next season they could have yet another 365 days of journey less than their belts and with somewhat extra tweaking next season should be the only. .

Lets look at some history of this franchise ...
- goaltender graveyard ever since Captain Kirk - although Clouts gave us some great seasons ... he just couldn't stay healthy!
- Marty's brain-cramp attack on Brasheer.
- Bert's brain-cramp attack on Moore.
- Ownership's brain-cramp dismissal of Burke. Want proof of Brian's hockey smarts just look at the Ducks' line-up now!
- Nonnis' brain-cramp in picking up Luongo before dealing Cloutier - a 2nd round pick and conditional picks? Come on! Cloutier is worth more than that, but Nonnis couldn't get it since he put himself in a powerless position!
And those are just the major problems!! But having said all that I am still a fan and therefore I have to say that they are going to win soon! I like Luongo - I heard a recent interview in which he was asked why he wears #1 and his answer was that the number simply says it all! Talk about confidence - I love it!! This team needs that type of talk!!
Oh ... and if you beleive in superstitions then they won't win as long as Naslund is the captain since no European captain has ever hoisted Lord Stanley's cup!

It can happened anytime and there improved with Luongo. Hell if Edmonton and Calgary an 8th and 7th place can come within 1 game so can the canucks, they will win a cup before the leafs do, i say within the next 10 yrs, Ottawa will be the next canadian team.
PS: F**K PRONGER we still believe

If anyone knew that they could make a fortune by betting on them in Vegas.
Seriously I don't think they will be winning it for a long time.
With 30 teams some teams will go at least 75 years without winning the Cup.

I don't have any crystal ball but with Luongo in front a the net they have a better chance now ! This team will be to watch but i don't know if Alain Vigneault is the good coach for them.

They have a great goalie now in Luongo however, they lost one of their biggest offensive threat, I doubt the twins will be able to pick up the slack.
So, will they win next season; doubtful.
