What was the point of you asking that?

If you don't like it don't watch it.

While your at it go ask your stupid questions somewhere else.

Although I respect your opinion to say how you feel, I have a simple question for you. Have you ever learned to skate/play hockey before? Now most people who I ask this to who claim hockey is gay, say no and i can tell. If you've ever even learned to skate, you'll know that learning to skate is not easy, as learning most things in life, but once you get it, its awesome. Hockey is probably one of the fastest sports, and combine that with the talent these players have to make great plays at these speeds is truely amazing. Now that the NHL has opened up the game a little more, it makes for truely amazing hockey. If your not a fan, I have the game tape from the Stanley Cup Finals game 7 between Edmonton and Carolina. If you can honestly sit through that entire game and not be amazed by the speed, hitting the raw emotion that each and every guy puts into every little thing he does on the ice, the way the fans support their teams, then you my friend are missing out on one of the coolest things in life. I've played hockey for over 18 years and I still get chills when I think about skating!

Yes, you obviously DON'T understand.

If you are questioning the toughness of hockey players, professional or otherwise, you ain't never been on the ice with a stick in your hand and a mouth guard in your teeth. Try it once before you question how tough the game is.

Try skating full bore into the corner after a loose puck, turning a tight radius to move the puck up the boards before a 180lb HNIB (Hockey Night in Boston, elite players in eastern MA) player is bearing down on you to beat you to it. Or trying to make a split second decision to block a slap shot when killing a penalty.

Know what you are taking about before making such remarks.

HOW!!! What a clever comment. Why is hockey so gay? Why is your mom such a slut? Why does she know how to suck dick so darn well? Why were you such a loser in high school? How come all the pretty girls ignored you? Why did all the cool kids throw carrots at you, and push you into the girls locker room with nothing but a towel around your waist? Was it because they wanted to be your friend? Hell no. You suck at life, you probably come from a broken home too. Hope you're having fun living in your mobile home, eating kraft dinner everyday and beating your wife and kids because you don't understand what they're talking about on Jeopardy.

gay??? i seriously hope you mean happy coz otherwise you really deserve for someone to hold your head under the cold water tap and let the ice cold water stream into your ears and neck!!!!!!
ice hockey is so NOT GAY!!!! why do you even think that??? hokey players are like football, most (male) players only need a few things in life: ice hockey, beer and women. as for women, well, they'll need ice hockey, beer and men, and that's about all i guess :) well, i suppose I don't need very much more then that! so hockey is definatly NOT gay!!!

Because we are joyful. Because we are thrilled to be playing hockey. Because hockey is the best sport in the world. Because it makes us exuberant and glad and we are ecstatic beyond belief for the chance to get out on the ice, chase a puck around, sink it in the net a few times, beat the everloving c*** out of people whose company we enjoy and we genuinely respect, go home and do it all again another day.

Or as Bryan Marchment so eloquently put it:

"It's a beautiful day. The sun is shining. We get to play hockey."

You only *wish* you were *half* as gay as the rest of us, pal.

I am from Buffalo so I am sure you know the Sabres have a similar history. It is funny because I watched Buffalo in four super bowls, one Stanley Cup and three Conference Finals all which wound up being losses, and after the most recent I occurred to my that there is a possibility I may never live to see a championship. The sad thing is I just trued 27, but I seen so many blown opportunities and crazy stuff happen I think its a possibility.

Fool....see how many people you get to offend with a stupid statement such as yours. It's quite obvious you just wanted to get a spark under the greatest fans in the history of sports. I have been involved in hockey for 25 years now, playing and watching, and no where have I seen anything close to being or acting gay in the sport of HOCKEY.

Well hey this person has a point...I mean come on, who gets there teeth knocked out and goes back on the ice 5 minutes later and keeps playing, that's right...because they are gay. And who plays 90+ games a season most of which play with broken bones or ripped up ligaments and tendons...gay people.
