He's by far the best active defensemen (even better than Niedermeyer who's coming back), and is also very under-rated. People talk about Zetterberg but who is more responsible for the success of the Wings? I think he's one of the top 5 defencemen of all-time.

For example: Have the Penguins, Devils, Rangers, Islanders, and Flyers all made the playoffs (8 teams a conference) the same year?

For what that little wimp got away with on Biron and then goes to the bench and smirks about it was unbelievable. That was a death sentence to do in Philly, and to count on someone like Laraque to protect him, well that's just as stupid. Someone might want to tell Laraque that's he's playing hockey and not baseball, Biron's a goalie not a catcher.

Ok, first off----->>> Sharks killed, ok not killed, but beat badly, the wild

Sorry Spud......(i think u like the wild, right)

So anyways, some questions for you guys

1) Which would you rather have: Your team lose in the 1st/2nd round of the playoffs OR have your team lose in the Stanley Cup finals??
2) Ok, lets just say that your team DID make it to the finals??? Would you rather have them lose in 7 or lose in 4???
3) Would you rather watch a close game or a blowout??? (not your team)
4) Would you rather watch your team win in a blow out or win in a close game (not in OT)

This question isnt really related to the others, but.....Lets say your team just got beaten BADLY, like, oh, lets just say, 7-1?? How would you expect them to play the next game??? Just as badly, or a lot better??? This question can be specific to your team or teams in general

My English courses last meeting was Monday meaning no school tomorrow. They say college will help out the future but who knows.

Here are a few comparions which ones would you take:

Scotty Bowman or Toe Blake
Barry Melrose's mullet or Don Cherry's outfits
Tie Domi or Sean Avery
Phoenix or Washington
Datsyuk or Zetterberg
ESPNs coverage on hockey or yahoos coverage

Dammit were suppose to have a traditional snow day tomorrow, they waste a damn snowday when im not even suppose to go to school.

Tuesday, 12/11 game between Penguins and Flyers. Flyers get 13 PP and two 5 on 3's and everytime the flyers got a penalty, the refs had to even it up. If Bettman wants a good product, he needs to look at these refs and their performance. How sad!

Are you really surprised there was no bench clearing brawl? I cannot remember the last one, it has been so long. It's been years for sure.

So, my question is- When was the last bench clearing brawl in the NHL?

Now Erica and Mrs Crosby don't kill me..... but I liked that game. It had a lot of the physical play that I like to see. The game also answered the question of when was the last time a team scored 2 hat tricks in a game. I saw it was washington in 85 but I missed who the players were... anyways what were your thoughts on the game?

You're the goalie of a team in the Stanley Cup finals - Game 7 - overtime. There's a scramble in front of your net, bodies all over, the puck bouncing around. You watch as the puck slides ever-so-slightly-but-completely over the line, a goal that loses the Cup for your team. However, in the split second it happens you know that no one else has seen it, it happend so fast that the ref hasn't had time to decide if he can see the puck and/or should blow the whistle. In other words, you are the only person who knows. Do you:

-- Accept that the other team won, fair and square.

-- In that split second, swipe the puck back over the line.

Now, let's not get into an argument about whether or not you would have time to do that, whether the ref would have blown the whistle, whether there would be a reply to see the goal, etc. Let's just assume that this is one of those rare instances when those would not be a factor - and it's a split fraction of a second. What would you do?

I always wanted to try that. Have you noticed that since I have been saying the Blackhawks are going to win the Stanley Cup, they have been on a really bad losing streak? Am I cursed? or a jinx?

BTW: PuckDat, you can use your ticker on this one. 2eighty8, go find Mr. Dead Ed.

Could you wait to get out of Montreal? I mean the city treats this guy like a bag of crap. Now on top of it, he seems to be at odds with management. I normally hate cry babies who demand trades but this guy probably deserves to play somewhere else.

Part 2 of the question- PJ Stock was talking about this last week as well saying that if he were Saku, he would be dying to get out of there. PJ seems like a very informed and likeable analyst. If you have seen his commentary, do you agree that he has a future in the business?

Im not asking what the minimum player salary is. Hypothetically, lets say Crosby always wanted to play for the leafs. Once he becomes an unrestricted free agent, he signs with Toronto. He wants to make sure they win the cup though, so he signs a contract for $600k per year, giving them more cap space to sign more stars. Could he do that? Would it get him in trouble with the NHLPA?

I just want to apologize to the people in this forum. Last night a friend and I watched the Leaf game, and I had a little to drink. In fact, I had a lot to drink (and I still have a hangover). I decided to have a little fun with some people. Based on a question Bob asked, I sent Cyrenaica an email saying that TBL accused him of digging up dirt on Komisarek is da man 2. Cyrenaica then sent a couple of nasty emails to TBL. After cyrenaica found Bob’s question and found out the truth, he sent TBL an apology email, and sent me a nasty email. I also sent one of the Jude’s an email stating that Haley wanted to marry him. I never heard back from that one. I like playing practical jokes from time to time. We used to do it all the time while scouts, getting drunk, and then knocking on hotel doors looking for skate sharpeners, jock straps, etc (I’ve been thrown out of a few hotels by the way – all in good fun). I never meant anyone any harm. Just a little drunken joke. Please forgiv
