Ok, first off----->>> Sharks killed, ok not killed, but beat badly, the wild

Sorry Spud......(i think u like the wild, right)

So anyways, some questions for you guys

1) Which would you rather have: Your team lose in the 1st/2nd round of the playoffs OR have your team lose in the Stanley Cup finals??
2) Ok, lets just say that your team DID make it to the finals??? Would you rather have them lose in 7 or lose in 4???
3) Would you rather watch a close game or a blowout??? (not your team)
4) Would you rather watch your team win in a blow out or win in a close game (not in OT)

This question isnt really related to the others, but.....Lets say your team just got beaten BADLY, like, oh, lets just say, 7-1?? How would you expect them to play the next game??? Just as badly, or a lot better??? This question can be specific to your team or teams in general

1. lose in the Stanley Cup finals. although it will be a tough summer, knowing they were thiiiis close to the Cup
2. i would rather have them lose in 7. at least they were able to win some games.
3.a close game. its much more exciting & you are glued to the screen (if watching on TV) to see if they are going to do it or not.
4. urm..depends on who is the opponent. if the Leafs are playing the Habs then a blow out because usually final score only differes by one. if the opponent is a team like...Florida then i a close game. if i had to pick one then i guess it would be.... a blow out. you don't see that many of them from the Leafs.

i expect them to bounce back from that. Leafs do bounce back from bad losses. im not saying they are great at it but they are pretty good. that 7 - 1 lose to the Hurricanes on Oct 9?? they bounced back with a 8-1 win over the Islanders on Oct 11. just giving a few examples that i remember (dont count on the dates!)

BTW real nice Avatar!! i like it

1) Lose in the finals - at least you had hope...and have hope for the next year. I don't always have the 'We'll get 'em next year' feeling when my team loses in the first couple of rounds. I always get that feeling when we lost in the final.

2) Lose in 7.......there's no compelling reason to watch game 4 when your team is down 3-0. You have every reason in the world to watch a game 7 (and invite all your friends over)

3) Irrelevant. I like to watch a good hockey game. I've seen exciting games that end 9-1 (I watched a game in the 80s where the final score was 8-0, but the team that was shutout dominated the play and had the most chances) and I've seen exciting games that end 2-1. If the game is well played, I could care less what the score is.

4). Same as above

Final Question: It depends on the team. If the 1992-93 San Jose Sharks got blown out 7-1....I would expect them to play just as badly the next game. That was one of the worst teams in NHL history. If the 2007-2008 Detroit Red Wings get blown out 7-1....I feel sorry for the next team they play.

And yes. after their debacle the other night, the Sharks played extremely well against the Wild and I felt the score could easily have been 6-1 or 7-1

1.) &2.) Lose in the finals in 7 games- at least I could rag on 28 other teams for not making it that far.

3) Close game. I would rather see a 3-2 game with some great goaltending and some posts hit than some nonsense 9-5 blowout that sounds more like a baseball box score.

4) Same as 3) especially during the last minute or so when the other team pulls the goalie and it's just frantic on the ice. Leaves me on the edge of my seat waiting for the time to expire.

Usually the Isles play well following a blowout, they may not win, but have been keeping it close.

I would rather have my favorite team lose in the finals. Even though it would be more heartbreaking, it would be a fun ride while it lasted. I would rather them lose in seven games, for the same reasons above.

I would rather watch a close game. The blowouts are fun while the team is scoring, but after they are ahead by five or six the last period or so of the game is extremely boring.

Again, I would rather have them win a close game. The Sabres-Caps game last season- Buffalo scored six goals in the first ten minutes which was fun, but after that the rest of the game was awful to watch.

If my favorite team got beaten badly, I would have no clue what to expect. With the Sabres this season, you never know what you're gonna get in terms of effort.

1. Stanley Cup Finals
2. Lose in 7
3. Close game
4. Win in a close game.

If we get beaten badly, I expect that the next game we'll play a lot better... After losing by a really lopsided score like 7-1, you can only improve.

1. Either way I'd relive it a thousand times, so why not go all the way.
2. 7 Cause at that point its really about who can hack it the longest and I love the excitement and atmosphere that builds up watching the long haul, but that's the only time I'll say that.
3. If it isn't my team...well...if I'm at least interested in one of the teams, a blow out. If there's a team I hate, like almost any team vs. Ottawa, definately a blowout not in their favor.
4. Blow out. I'm all about getting things done on the quick and dirty.

As a Sabres fan, I find them in this situation entirely too often and then its impossible to expect a performance one way or another the next time. Generally speaking, I'd say they go Kugal for the next game, but then lax off for the one following that, thus putting themselves in this redundant cycle that makes me suicidal.

1) finals though everyone would still claim they choke in the playoffs every year

2) lose in 7 though i repeat everyone would be saying they choke in the playoffs every year

3) Close game and it doesn't matter if its my team or not. i like the last minute to mean something

4) Again close game, I trust the boys to be able to finish it of and not let one in in the last minute.

I would expect the other team to pull their starting goalie at last half way through the game. revenge is nasty. If my team is playing a team coming off a horrible lose i expect them to be prepared and play like they did the other night against the wild, was that back to back bad games for them by the way (the wild?) If its two random teams playing then i would hope that the team that previously got blown out would come out hard play control the style and try to make a good showing, have passion.

1. I'd probably have to say lose in the 1st/2ND round.
2. 7. You hate to see them get that far and lose it in 4.
3. I enjoy close games, but I like watching fights. Close games seem to equal fewer fights! I love the shoot outs though...
4.Win in a close game, though my fantasy team loves to win in a blow out.

As to the unrelated question, I think they'd bounce back, if not someone needs to light a fire under someone!
