Or the Penguins can stop taking penalties.
I didn't watch the game. But theres a simple way to stay out of the box. Don't take penalties.

I watched most of the game while at work, Versus is on basic cable here. Most of the calls against the Pens were in the third period. After 2 periods Pittsburgh had 6 penalities called against them, the Flyers 4, not counting fighting majors.Pittsburg had a 5-3 in the first period also. One of the Flyers 3 pp goals came after Gonchar was called for shooting puck over the glass, which is an automatic call. Pittsburgh took a lot of stupid penalities in the 3rd period, especially Laraque. Wonder if the NHL is gonna suspend him? It seemed lame anyway. If you're gonna take someone out, nail him, not some pansy baseball slide.

It was easy. They got an early lead, and the Pens started taking stupid penalties. Happens all the time when a team falls behind, regardless of how dirty the other team is. I watched that game, could have cared less who won (making me more objective than a Pens or Flyers fan) and I only saw one penalty that I totally thought was ridiculous: the double-minor that Laraque received when Eager elbowed him right before Roberts fought Eager. With that much crap going on, however, no refs in the league could keep up and call it 100% right. The Pens self-destructed. That is all there is to it. Better luck next time. You get another crack at them next month, so chill out.

Did you watch the game????????? I saw like 10 minutes of it and saw a horrible performance by the Pens. The problem with that team is they need a real captain. Not to say Crosby is bad at it, but they need veteran leadership from their captain, not just two secondary pp assists and an 8-2 loss. Captaincy is about being a leader on and off the ice not just on the scoreboard.
Also on a side note, loved the jawing between Eager and Laraque. Laraque was mocking Eager because he got his *** beat by 41 year old Roberts.

the flyers are not the dirtiest team in the league. they show up and play hard they were just taking a breather last year. lareque was the only guy taking penalties either. both roberts and armstrong were some of the penguins who couldnt stay outta the box. that game was really good and if you bothered to pay attention, most of those penalties came in the third, after me and my friend lost our voices and the pens lost the game.

Look man I watched the game. I am a Penguins fan. But they really played horrible today. Both Pens' goalies sucked so much; I started thinking I was watching an Avs game. It would've been much closer with Fleury in goal. He was on fire before getting injured. There were a lot of penalties on the Pens, but most of them came when the game was already out of hand. Sadly, the Penguins just didn't show up to play tonight.

How sad indeed. Your question that is. Follow the game son, the bulk of the penalties against Pittsburgh took place in the 3rd period when the game was out of reach.
I think after 2 periods, the PP were 4 for Philly and 3 for Pittsburgh.
Yeah, Bettman's fault. WOW.

Dirtiest/cleanest is very subjective except given regulations. i will in simple terms decide on the main penalized theory: a million. Philly- maximum PIMs in line with sport conventional 2. Anaheim- 2d maximum penalty minutes 3. St. Louis had the main sport misconducts Cleanest: a million. Carolina 2. Detroit 3. Minnesota

Well that happened after the game was out of reach.
They were down by 2 goals and then took a double minor. After that was a PPG they were just out to send a message.
To the above I think as long as there is no injury that Laraque polay will go unpunished since it was so weak looking. It did look like Biron was flopping when Crosby went by him and then trying to fight him.
Way to be a little ***** and try and fight when you are covered in armor Biron. Of course you don't fight a goalie . . . unless you want to hurt your hands.

Sidney Crosby, is that you? Could've fooled me with your whining and complaining.
You obviously did not pay attention to the game. The 3rd period was nothing but cheap shots from the Penguins. And you're calling the Flyers a dirty team? Please.
