Instead of just saying a random team, I'll give you an in depth look. In my mind, the Capitals have it all to win it. They have for several years, they have just never cashed in. They have Ovechkin along with a host of other goal scorers, along with a great defense and goalies. This sounds like a championship team to me. If its not the Capitals, its the going to be Chicago again. If anything they got stronger over the offseason. This is a team that will do great and have little trouble winning the division. But as always, they have to watch out for Nashville and Detroit. Detroit also got stronger over the offseason, but Nashville took a step back, as they lost their best offensemen Arnott. However, both teams should at least make the playoffs but have the potential to make it to the Cup. Another team that has potential is the Coyotes. This is an under-rated and appreciated team that is filled with talent. They will make it to the playoffs and go far. When it comes to the Blackhawks, they might be eliminated. Being a Florida Panther fan, I've got to look at the their chances, which are slim. However, the Panthers picked up some key veterans over the offseason, however, they lost their best defenseman (Ballard) and also one of their best wingers (Horton). They will definetly do better than last year (finishing 14 out of 15 in the conference). If they make the playoffs, it will be in the number 8 seed and they will just barley make it into the playoffs on that note. Speaking of Florida, the Lightining have a shot at it this year too. Their roster is stacked with goal scorers, this team does have potential to win it, but when they run into the big studs of the East like the Capitals, the Caps might kill the Lightining's chances of winning the cup.

What about Trombadamus? Must I send him away?
In reference to the Blackhawks line: Keep saying it. You should also include that they will win all 8 games against the Wings.

Why does everyone ask this so soon? It's not even the all-star break yet. You could have a team come out of no where, clinch a play off spot, and then sweep the play offs. Really, no one knows. People can make good guesses but no one knows.
