Vincent Lecavalier is 27+ years old and has 555 points in his NHL career.
Sidney Crosby is 20 years old and has 262 points in his NHL career.

They both started their careers as 18 year olds.

My question is- How old will Sidney Crosby be when he reaches the level of points that Lecavalier has now (555)???

Avs came within two goals of that (one more goal each from Wolski and Stastny) on Sunday, so...has any NHL team ever scored 3 hat tricks in one game?

I am going to watch the game now. If the Lightning lose I will kiss your feet for a few days, because I got to say this.......

…………Tonight the Lightning are going to win a freaking AWAY game.

So, here is the question:
Would you rather be a goalie against Mats Sundin or Martin St. Louis in a shootout (same points mind you)?

They had a record of 16 wins and 2 losses in the playoffs--against tough, tough competition. Here's a breakdown of their amazing playoff stats...87 goals for...57 goals against...team scored on 17.0% of their shots, league average was 12.9% (by comparision the Ducks in 2007 playoffs scored on 9.1% of their shots against the league average of 8.1%) Again, advantage Oilers over all competition:-)...More amazing stats you probably don't know...Craig Simpson scored 13 goals on 33 shots in the 88 playoffs, for a shooting percentage of 39.4%. He played on the second line by the way:-) Talk about depth eh?...Line combinations were Tikkanen-Gretzky-Kurri (first line) and Anderson-Messier-Simpson (second line). These two fearsome line combined for 69 of the team's 87 goals...A perfect 11-0 home record in playoffs. Can anyone beat that? ;-)...The Oilers beat the best team (Flames) in 4 straight, Wings (in 5), Bruins for the Cup (in 4 straight) The only weak team they faced (Jets), beat em in 5.

A perfect day for 95% of men these days would consist of chicks/booze/hockey.

Which beer/pop( I guess you guys call it soda), or hockey game would make your perfect day?

Lets say you had to choose 1 beverage, 1 chick, 1 hockey game.

Have fun with this, girls can join to just vice versa in some parts.

For example heres mine:

games 4 years ago with the Blue Jackets and last year he played with the Bruins, but it finally looks like he's up to stay. I live in Seattle, and remember when Reich played for the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL in the mid 90's. After playing over 10 years in the minors, he finally got a shot. He didn't fight all that much with Seattle, but it looks like he's turned into the Bruins main enforcer, well, good for him, whatever works, whatever he can do to stay in the NHL. What do you think?

3) best hockey related joke? (tie breaker for prediction)

The situation is this: I have been here in Norfolk for the last 7 years. We have always had a respectable hockey team on the ice as the AHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks. Perennially in the playoffs, and because of some heated rivalries with Hershey and Wilkes-Barre, the team had it's first sellout games in the franchise's existence last year. They were near the top of the division all season, and the fans had a great rapport with the players, many of whom graciously and professionally did alot of volunteer work with the community.

Then the switch was flipped. The affiliation ended, and the AHL affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning came to town, complete with the worst record in the league.

Is is wrong of me to be feel that the ownership of this franchise was utterly foolish to let what they had go, and not continue the affiliation with a solid team with a reputation, good fan base, and a decent financial future?

What are some of the rituals or gameday habits everyone has before the game starts??
Myself-- we always stop by Rippy's, a sports bar adjacent to the arena.. Then as soon as the gates open, its off to the pro-shop, then down to the glass for pre-skate.. Next its on to concessions and then we usually get in our seats with about 10 mins before the faceoff.. Afterwards, we sometimes go to club level for the post game show or simply catch it on radio if the game was a bummer..
Just curious on everyones game attending activities..
