CHRIS - no. of course I don't agree with him! Vinny is NOWHERE near Sidney Crosby....
Of course I agree with him! Vinny is by far the MVP if he keeps this up.

If I want a short-term solution, I'd go with Lecavalier. I'll still go for Crosby for the long-term. And Kubina used to play for the Bolts so anyone can argue that it's a biased opinion.

Vinnie has definitely been better so far this year. I would bet he finishes with Ross and Hart awards. But the only way to answer this question is to wait until Crosby has been around as long as Lecavelier has been up to this point, and see where he stands.
Crosby will likely have produced far more offense/points, but will he have been on a champ. team? Dont know. Vinnies better defensively right now, but how good was he was he when he was a teenager/20 yrs old?
By the way, Vinnie has only ever had one season with more than 35 goals and only one over 100 points. Sids already done that twice, with a less ice time, and hasn't really had the greatest scoring linemates.
Dont blame Sid for the way over-done media hype. I bet he would prefer to be anonymous as anyone.

"All I will say is, give it time and the whole world shall see that Crosby is nothing more than a pretty poster boy. The fizzle is starting to manifest in that guys sputtering rocket engine. Soon it will be a cold harsh return to earth for 'SC 87'"
Komisarek, do you watch the game AT ALL? Give it time? Time until what? Until he is legal drinking age? Nothing more than a pretty poster boy? I suppose a Art Ross, A Hart Trophy and a Pearson Award is nothing more than being a poster boy? Yeah, he is 20 years old so he is just going to keep getting worse, come on man, that is the worst drivel I have read in a long time.
As for Kubina's comments, let me again point out the Pearson Award which is awarded annually to the National Hockey League's outstanding player in the regular season as judged by the members of the NHL Players Association-in other words by the other players in the league, his peers like Kubina, enough said.
If Lecavalier wins it this year then kudos to him. We know he will get Kubina's vote I guess, big deal. My money is still on Crosby.

I agree that Lecalvier is a better package than Crosby...
I'm sorry but... I'm sick of hearing about Crosby... Sure he's 20.. Sure he has some amazing talent... But that's not what this is all about... I'm not picking sides here... and im not picking on Crosby. I say give him a chance to get used to it all.
Crosby hasn't been around as long as Lecalvier has... Lets give him a chance to warm up a bit... he's only been in the NHL for a short while... Give him a chance..
I still think Lecalvier is better... he's just more into the swing of things. an all around great hockey player... and im sure he will probably come out of this season with a few awards... considering he deserves more credit, than what we/they give him. Lets hope he keeps his game up!

Edited to add: I am not trying to talk trash about him per se. I just do not like the biased media and the NHL in need of making a fast buck at the expense of some other truly talented players, by shamelessly promoting someone that has not even come close to proving themselves yet as 'the next great one'. when he does not deserve it. The kid can play, but he is not and most likely will not be the next great one.

I will admit Lecavalier is an amazing.
But personally I'd choose Crosby over him. I really do adore Sidney.
And it really upsets me when people talk trash about him...like you can't even imagine. =(
But yeah Lecavalier is an awesome player!
He deserves alot more credit than he gets!

Yes, i do agree.
Vinnie is a better all around player then Crosby is, and i know people can say that vinnie is older, but even when Cavie was younger her produced.
Crosby is a 30 goal kid and sadly i belive that's all he will ever be.
So Yes, Cavie is defenetly a better "Package" Then Crosby.
do you agree with him TB?

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone who thinks that Crosby ISNT the best thing to grace the ice.
I would have to agree with LITY on this one (and no, not ONLY because he mentioned Joe), there are just players who are at higher level in the league, who understand the game more than most players do. Hockey sense is a powerful thing

I'm not sure. Along with Joe Thornton and Jarome Iginla, the four of them are a slight notch above the rest of the league. But whether or not I would have to take one over the other right now would be a very tough decision.
