because Dunkin Donuts has a stranglehold on New England. I always call Dunkin Donuts the whore that slept with New England, because everybody knows it and everybody has been to it. PS I got coffee there yestarday before the Pats game.

Because Dunkin Donuts pays better. And that was a sexxist statement. Like beer is only for men? No it isn't and Dunkin Donuts is for women? No it isn't. And Molson is a Candaian beer which is why it sponsors the Canadiens. I bet you the Canadiens wish they could get a bigger sponsor like Dunkin Donuts. Btw, Dunkin Donuts sponsors almost every Boston/New England team.

All teams advertise at games at every venue. At least Dunkin Donuts doesn't just pay to the teams they also provide tickets at every home game for some children who would never be able to go any other way My hat is off to them.Even if it doesn't cost lots at least they do SOMETHING!
And donuts won't cause any car accidents on the way home like too much beer will.
to Sharks Baby: You are a self righteous, egotistical bas.... Women enjoy hockey as much as men.I for one am the one who taught my son about it.
My husband proposed to me during a Montreal-Boston season opener and gives me tickets for gifts all the time.Stop being such a sexist.

Dunkin Donuts is based up in that area. I'd take them over a beer. I don't recall a beer sponsoring the Penguins(I'm a Pens fan so that is the team I know). I know a bank pays for the naming rights, and that is about the only name I remember seeing with their backround. This question kinda makes me wonder about who sponsors teams.

The Canadiens aren't sponsored by Molson, they are 20% owned by Molson. No money transferred at all.

McDonalds is a sponsor of the NHLPA and their logo should be displayed prominently at all arena.

And, there are many hockey fans who aren't of 'legal' age, so beer advertising is wasted on them.....that is why we have sponsors like McDonalds, Gatoprade, Tim Hortons, Dunkin Donuts, etc

I personally find it ingenius and not funny.

Dunkins has a huge New England following and just wants their names in every sport. They've got the Dunkin Dugout ( a long row of seats at the top of the right field bleechers) at Fenway and they sponsor Celtics basketball.

I doubt the teams cator the sponsors to the fans preferences. Its up to the sponsors to only sponsor things that will generate them more revenue.

I am sure Dunkin Donuts needed the exposure and offered the most money to receive it.
