amdd i disagree totally it happens to be a sport that anyone can do just the ones serious about it understand how much of a sport it is (tournament play). do agree they need to moderate and separate wrestling out into two categories one in TV other one in sports and enforce strict violations one people that try to post wwe questions in the sports one.

288 i may be in the minority dont matter to me i know the truth of the matter i never judge a sport i never have competed in just by my impression of it (by the way knocking balls around while drunk isn't competing in it)

As a sport
At least the games with regulated international professional competition have been referred to as "sports" or "sporting" events, not simply "games", since 1893 at the latest.[3] Quite a variety of particular games (i.e. sets of rules and equipment) are the subject of present-day competition, including many of those already mentioned, with competition being especially broad in nine-ball, snooker, three-cushion and eight-ball.

Snooker, though technically a pocket billiards variant and closely related in its equipment and origin to the game of English billiards, is a professional sport organized at the international level, and its rules bear little resemblance to those of pool games.

A "Billiards" category encompassing pool, snooker and carom was featured in the 2005 World Games, held in Duisburg, Germany, and the 2006 Asian Games also saw the introduction of a "Cue sports" category. Efforts have also been underway for many years to have cue sports become Olympic competitions

Pro-wrestling, snooker, pool. Handball is definitely a sport, though I don't think it is too popular anymore. Anyone who doubts that it is a sport should try it. It is an incredible work out and painful when you first try it. For the most part it has the same rules as racket ball, but the ball is much slower so there is a lot more running involved as well as strategy. It was and may still be an Olympic sport.

Wrestling. It is not a sport. It is not a game. They should make a different section called Greco-Roman Wrestling or something. The Wrestling that's shown on TV should be in the entertainment section. At least handball is a real sport. Even though many people mistake it for err... something else lol.

I'm with no_dirt and Chris on this one. Pool must stay. Do you guys know how badass Russians are at Pool?

It has to be handball for one simple reason - It's the only section where I've ever seen a question asking what the sport even was. If I remember correctly, it was "What the hell is handball?"

If that's one of only 3-4 questions in your forum, then your sport likely doesn't deserve its own category. No offense to the sport, but it's pretty obvious.

Snooker and Pool. Billiards is a game, not a sport. I understand leaning over the table may prove physically challenging for some people, but then Twister would also be considered a sport, and I don't think anybody is willing to go that far.

Joe B-LOL! I've devoted over 2 decades of my life to dance and gymnastics, let's do this ;) Def more challenging than pool

DC Fury- I had to play handball in gym once, its like if the little known hybrid of tennis-soccer and epilepsy had a baby, and the mother dropped it on its head. We were like WTF and they never made us do it again. I will maintain, that its more athletic then billiards. You can have tournament/elimination stile yahtzee, nobody is going to the Olympics.

Snooker and pool. More of a game than a sport. My sister and I have found that when she's drunk and I'm mad as a hornet, we play our best games. Interesting!

What no Chesterfield Rugby? We play it doggy style in Ontario, so we can watch the Hockey game...Major sport of the red-neck Olympic winter games.
