woulnt it be nice if all high school students who were physically able, had to ride across the USA to graduate ?

What things that can be done to; encourage people to take up cycling, improve facilities, raise awareness, lobby governments/ councils etc

On my road bike, i find that I have to add about 10 lbs of air pressure to my tires about every 2 weeks. I don't detect any punctures. Is this typical?

May sound obvious, but the current record for mtn bike going downhill is 130.7mph! That's fast. Of course, a road bike cannot go on mountains, but if the road bike would go down a really steep paved slope, would it be able to beat this record?

Ok, I am dead sick, of bike riders, taking up a main road and they back up the whole street, they get pissed off when you trail behind them....I can't understand, why they can't go on the damn sidewalk. That should be plain *** illegal! How is this allowed, it is not only a safety hazard, but common sense.

i'm doing cross country and some small tricks like wheelie.
important thing for me is speed.
i'm choosing between 2008 shimano deoreXT hub, a2z XC hub
2008 XT hub cost $100 per pair but i'll need a center-lock adaptor which cost $30
a2z hub cost $250 per pair but come with 6bolt.
which one is better for me? is noisy hub or silent hub better?
my country currency is S$1.65 : 1US

near mint 2005 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR 120 Pro, 17" Frame with less than 50 Miles on the bike. I'm selling this and my wife's mountian bike to purchase a new road bike. The bike has spent most of it's time safely tucked away in our basement and the riding use has been 90% road with very casual trail riding for the other 10%.

i want to get a better idea i only really ride to work which is about 5km half road and half track nothing major im about 6'5 tall, i like the mountain bike style over hybird ive been looking at fuji nevada because thats the style i like and its in my price range any other ideas

I went out on my very old mountain two weeks ago, for a very long bike ride. Only later to discover, that I have jarred my elbow quite badly. I think if I had a new bike with all the new suspension on it it would have saved my elbow joint. But I have been told I will use more energy riding it. I am confused! Please help.
