Ok, this isn't really a question, but something just occured to me. As a serious cyclist one of the best Xmas presents that I ever got was a unicycle. Like most serious cyclists I already had all the "stuff" that I needed. But a unicycle was unique. It was something that I hadn't thought of, yet it was fun. I could practice in the house, in the middle of winter, and then impress my friends come summertime. It's something that a serious cyclist might never think of getting for themselves, but would really get a kick out of trying.

Anyway, I just thought that I would throw that out there, in case anyone is stumped about what to buy the cyclist on their list.

Gday!
I currently am selling a Bicycle, and I am wondering how do you find out the size of a bike?

I measured the wheels and it turned out to be 24" but I believe that is not the real size.

If someone could assist me with this dilemma, I would trully appreciate it.

Kind Regards

I racked my tailbone and other parts years ago when hopping down on a boy's bike...I assume that this is every bit as unpleasant, if not more for guys--why have that bar at all?! :-)

My 9 speed cassette is becoming black from silver.
It's mostly grease that is stuck in there.
Any ways to prevent or solve this problem?

I've just descovered the joys of cycling but I have no front light, I don't know which light to get. I want a good bright light as I cycle in a park, which also has no lighting and we got caught out last weekend. I don't want to spend too much as I'm not sure how long my interest will last. Any suggestions???

Hi,

I am planning to cycle up a mountain next month and I would like to know how much PSI do I need to deflate my tires.

I always pump my tires at 125PSI max for my kenda kaliente and I am afraid it might explode at higher altitudes.

The mountain is about 2000 meters from sea level.

Thanks in advance.

I'd like to get my son a good pair of gloves for when he's riding his bike during the winter. I suppose I'm looking for some that are thin yet warm, and not slippery. 'Grippy', you know? (He's been using regular, bulky gloves and that's gotta suck when he's doing his stunts and whatnot, right?)

Anyhoo, I don't know which brands are best. Any good suggestions? It would be especially nice if I could order them online :)

Thanks for all answers!

My grandmother wants to buy me something nice for Christmas. I want a mountain bike. Unfortunately I know nothing about them. I would like to start going on trails and whatnot primarily for exercising and building up some leg muscle, b/c running doesn't suit me. She already offered to buy me an i-Phone so i'm guessing she's willing to spend maybe 400-600 dollars on me.
So that's about it. Please let me know if you need any detailed information in order to find a bike that best suits me.

New to biking. I'm looking for a lightweight bike, only front susp for going on trails/ downhills. I'm more concerned with going fast then doing jumps. Don't know if anyone lives in Burnaby, but I'm gonna be doing the trails up at Burnaby mountain constantly because I live up at SFU. My dream bike would be a fast/light/ easily maneuverable bike that can take some hits.
Price Range: 500-650$$
Some bikes I've looked at are the Norco Bigfoot (kinda big though and hear they have bad forks?), Norco Wolverine, ehh not much else. I can only find one bike shop near me and its pretty small. (Have treks/norcos/devincis) Any advice before I invest in a new bike.

I get MAJOR bike rage.
Idiot motorists breaking lights, nearly knocking you off the bike, driving through bike lanes without looking, parking in bike lanes etc. then they have the cheek to shout/ beep/ gesture at you when they're in the wrong!
I could go on.
Any good bike rage stories?

I have been reading various answers to a question about the two types. So 'M R' is saying that there really is a difference in weight then ? Can anyone specifiy ? I bought a double this summer ( stumpjumper fsr expert and it moves well as I was a sprinter before and wanted to continue to punish & push my legs so to speak. Did I choose the right type then ? i actually was thinking of a Ibis Mojo SX : Ideal for speed , or just posing on the trail ??? And finally, I did not see any mention of '' ENDURO '' bikes What exactly is this type of bike ?
Many regards
