Hi,

I am planning to cycle up a mountain next month and I would like to know how much PSI do I need to deflate my tires.

I always pump my tires at 125PSI max for my kenda kaliente and I am afraid it might explode at higher altitudes.

The mountain is about 2000 meters from sea level.

Thanks in advance.

atmospheric pressure at sea level is 14.5 PSI

at 9000feet it is 10.5 PSI

6000 feet will increase your tire pressure by 3.6 PSI by use of ratio and proportion. You will expect less increase if the temperature to which your going is cold.

just pump your tires to 120PSI andyou will be safe on your way

If you're talking about road bikes, i don't know much. But for mountain bike tires that's a lot.
